IHBC Education Secretary Andrew Shepherd said: \u2018We\u2019ve been developing this accreditation support programme for quite a few years now, beginning with interdisciplinary TeamStarter sessions developed for Affiliates and their colleagues in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire under my predecessor as Education Secretary, Bridget Turnbull.\u00a0 The most high-profile outcome of that initiative is the offer by local IHBC members to host our 2021 Annual School in Scotland\u2019s North East, and those plans are already under way.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Clearly it\u2019s about time we did a bit of a boast \u2013 and a bit more guidance – about the cross sector skills and accreditation support initiative that grew\u00a0from that work, our IHBC MATE accreditation support sessions.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Our new MATE webpage advising on these training events does that, and with the IHBC\u2019s usual design flair and efficiency\u2019.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sean O\u2019Reilly, IHBC Director said: \u2018MATE sessions are just one of many threads in the suite of resources we offer to help practitioners and sector colleagues.\u00a0 With its links to other resources, this new web page makes that professional infrastructure much more accessible.\u00a0 And if you want to get some more free heritage advice, support or training for your staff or colleagues, just get in touch!\u2019\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

IHBC\u2019s LETS Officer and lead on MATE sessions, Kate Kendall, said: \u2018Having these professional accreditation resources accessible in one place \u2013 including links to our complementary support tools such as the SelfStater – makes this new site the perfect starting point for anyone commencing their\u00a0application.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Have a look at the pages and the feedback from\u00a0colleagues who have attended previous sessions to get a feel for what\u00a0they\u2019re all about.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018The timing of the launch of the pages is happily in advance of the two\u00a0forthcoming sessions\u00a0taking place in\u00a0Newcastle and London on the 22nd and 28th\u00a0November respectively\u2019.<\/p>\n
