IHBC James Caird, IHBC Chair said: \u2018The IHBC has campaigned for many years for VAT on repairs to historic buildings and\u00a0supports the Listed Property Owners\u2019 Club in this\u00a0petition.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Buildings are listed because of their importance to the nation and lower VAT on repairs to listed buildings is one way the nation could support owners in their common goal.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Good maintenance is the key to low ownership costs and it is perverse that repairs should be subject to VAT when new development is not.\u2019<\/p>\n
