Dave Chetwyn said: \u2018Neighbourhood planning provides opportunities for communities to not just be consulted on their local heritage, but to participate or even to lead in planning for heritage as an integral part of the wider planning for the area.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018In some cases, communities are also involved in direct delivery, through community-led development and regeneration. This includes heritage asset transfer. This clearly has implications for heritage practitioners, in acting directly for community clients, or for those working for public bodies in enabling and supporting community organisations.\u2019<\/p>\n
