In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.designingbuildings.co.uk\/wiki\/Universities\">universities<\/a> the learning process is essentially driven by the syllabus and the lecturers with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.designingbuildings.co.uk\/wiki\/Stud\">students<\/a> as relatively passive \u2018receivers\u2019 of information, broken down for them into digestible, term-sized chunks.<\/p>\n<p>Contrast this with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.designingbuildings.co.uk\/wiki\/Workplace\">workplace<\/a>\u00a0where there are few \u2018teachers\u2019.
