Lying at the heart of London\u2019s Kew Gardens<\/a>, in spring 2016 the Temperate House is shrouded in a plastic, scaffold<\/a> cloche, mimicking many of the plants<\/a> within the botanical gardens<\/a>, the metamorphic transformation of winter to spring. Yet the Temperate House has at least one more winter of transformation ahead, to complete the \u00a336 million restoration<\/a> project for the client<\/a> Royal Botanic Gardens<\/a> Kew, prior to the formal re-opening in May 2018. Substantial funding support from the Heritage Lottery Fund<\/a> of \u00a315 million, a DEFRA donation of \u00a310 million, and a range of private trusts, donors and contributions from the visiting public are allowing for an expansion of Kew\u2019s education programme<\/a>, and public engagement and participation activities\u2026.<\/p>\n
