{"id":18167,"date":"2018-02-20T16:05:23","date_gmt":"2018-02-20T16:05:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=18167"},"modified":"2018-02-19T17:12:46","modified_gmt":"2018-02-19T17:12:46","slug":"heritage-audience-insights-update-review-of-hes-online-advice-and-guidance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=18167","title":{"rendered":"Heritage audience insights update: Review of HE\u2019s online advice and guidance"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/HE_AudienceInsightsFeb2018.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-18168\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/HE_AudienceInsightsFeb2018.png\" alt=\"Report cover\" width=\"300\" height=\"433\" \/><\/a>Historic England (HE) commissioned research in 2017 into whether Historic England&#8217;s written advice and guidance provides the right information to the right audiences in the most effective way, with conclusions published in the Pye Tait report \u2018Audience Insights: Review of Historic England\u2019s Online Advice and Guidance\u2019.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Historic England writes:<\/p>\n<p>The multi-faceted methodology for this audience insight research comprised<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a desk review of HE advice and guidance sources<\/li>\n<li>13 stakeholder interviews<\/li>\n<li>an online survey of users and non-users of HE advice and guidance (423 responses)<\/li>\n<li>40 follow-up telephone interviews with a cross-section of survey respondents<\/li>\n<li>two roundtable discussion forums.<\/li>\n<li>All research took place between April and October 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The final report includes recommendations about how Historic England can best meet the needs of its users in the future and the most appropriate formats\/approaches for producing written advice and guidance.
