This requirement has been in force since 1 September last year, when it replaced a similar one for a supporting design and access statement in the listed building consent process.

A heritage impact statement is the end result of structured and proportionate assessment that will help you:

understand the significance of your historic asset,

assess the potential impact of any proposed changes and

tailor your proposals to find the best solution for you and your historic asset. Access issues are also addressed through this process, unless the proposed works involve a private dwelling.

If you need to prepare a heritage impact statement or just want to find out more about the assessment process, download our free guidance, Heritage Impact Assessment in Wales, from the Cadw website.

Read more about heritage impact statements

Download ‘Heritage Impact Assessment in Wales’

View more publications from Cadw

Cadw has published its reminder that owners must now submit a heritage impact statement with any listed building or conservation area consent application, a requirement in force since 1 September 2017, when it replaced a similar one for a supporting design … Continue reading →

[5

post-18137","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-sector-newsblog
["GET
