They aim to recognise the contribution that engineers, contractors,  facilities and energy managers play in creating a sustainable built  environment, and to raise the profile of the construction and  engineering industry. They will demonstrate the value that building  services engineers have on the development and operation of buildings.  This year\u2019s categories have been designed to incorporate each stage in  the development of a building. Entries will be promoted throughout the  industry as the best performing buildings.<\/p>\n<p>The awards will be presented on Wednesday 9th February 2011 at London\u2019s  Grosvenor House Hotel. The evening will celebrate the achievements of  the industry, and will aim to attract representatives from the initial  design team through to those operating the buildings.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Categories<br \/>\n<\/span>This year&#8217;s awards replace the Low Carbon Performance Awards and  therefore there are new categories and criteria for you to consider:<\/p>\n<p>* Training for Building Performance<br \/>\n* Building Services Consultancy of the Year<br \/>\n* Energy-using Product<br \/>\n* Passive (energy related) Product of the Year<br \/>\n* Contractor of the Year<br \/>\n* Commissioning Project of the Year<br \/>\n* Low Carbon Consultant of the Year<br \/>\n* New Build Project of the Year<br \/>\n* Refurbishment Project<br \/>\n* Building Operation<br \/>\n* Client of the Year \u2013 Large<br \/>\n* Client of the Year \u2013 SME<br \/>\n* Integrated Project Team<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cibseawards.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.cibseawards.org<\/a><br \/>\n<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cibse.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.cibse.org<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) has launched a call for entries to its 2011 awards, entry deadline 8 October.
