href=\"http:\/\/ihbc.org.uk\/marshawards\/\">\u00a0IHBC\u2019s Marsh Awards<\/a>, developed in partnership with the Marsh Christian Trust, celebrates retired IHBC members and successful learners in heritage practice, with prizes that include \u00a3500 and a free place at the IHBC\u2019s Annual School, while the IHBC\u2019s President has written to members to call for more entries and to remind them of a closing date of 28 February 2018 for the current round.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>David McDonald, IHBC President writes:<\/p>\n<p>I just wanted to encourage you to consider promoting a nomination for the IHBC&#8217;s newly launched\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ihbc.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=2b42aa8da714d081b634b78f3&amp;id=5e76aac463&amp;e=a120de8727\">Marsh Awards<\/a>\u00a0for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Successful Learning in Heritage Skills<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Community Contribution (Retired Member of the IHBC)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The nomination\u00a0process is extremely simple, while the winners are recognised with cash awards of \u00a3500 and a free full place at the<a href=\"https:\/\/ihbc.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=2b42aa8da714d081b634b78f3&amp;id=668dc3c658&amp;e=a120de8727\">\u00a0IHBC&#8217;s Annual School\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ihbc.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=2b42aa8da714d081b634b78f3&amp;id=6439c9702b&amp;e=a120de8727\">every June<\/a>, where we present the awards.<\/p>\n<p>For\u00a0<strong>learners<\/strong>, both the funding and the education from the School could be a critical step-up in their trade or career.<\/p>\n<p>For\u00a0<strong>retired members<u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>of the IHBC (all categories), if the cash is not a priority, it could be donated to another deserving cause, as well as raising its profile.<\/p>\n<p>So please do consider promoting nominations or, for someone deserving that you know, completing the easy-fill form yourself, for one or both awards, as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a activities contributed or the skills mastered,<\/li>\n<li>how the individual made a difference to the benefit of the historic environment and\/ or community through these activities or skills.<\/li>\n<li>supporting information, such as a pictures, documents or website references relating to the nomination, which can be uploaded to the online form or included with the postal
