{"id":1703,"date":"2010-08-25T16:39:33","date_gmt":"2010-08-25T16:39:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=1703"},"modified":"2010-08-25T16:39:33","modified_gmt":"2010-08-25T16:39:33","slug":"europa-nostra-awards-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=1703","title":{"rendered":"Europa Nostra Awards open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Helvetica,Arial;\"><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Europa Nostra has announced the opening of its 2011 awards, with a deadline of 1 October 2010.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\nCategories include:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CONSERVATION<br \/>\n<\/span>Outstanding achievements in the conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage in the following areas:<br \/>\nSingle buildings or groups of buildings in rural or urban setting.<br \/>\nIndustrial and engineering structures and sites.<br \/>\nCultural landscapes: historic parks and gardens, larger areas of  designed landscape, or areas of cultural, environmental ad\/or  agricultural significance.<br \/>\nArchaeological sites, including underwater archaeology.<br \/>\nWorks of art and collections: collections of artistic and historic significance or old works of art.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">RESEARCH<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/span>Outstanding research which leads to tangible effects in the  conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage in Europe in any of  the above-mentioned Category 1 areas.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DEDICATED SERVICE by INDIVIDUALS or ORGANISATIONS<br \/>\n<\/span>Open to individuals or organisations whose contributions over a long  period of time demonstrate excellence in the protection, conservation  and enhancement of cultural heritage (relating to the above-mentioned  Category 1 areas) in Europe. The contribution should be of a standard  which would be considered outstanding in the European context.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">EDUCATION, TRAINING and AWARENESS-RAISING<br \/>\n<\/span>Outstanding initiatives related to heritage education, training  schemes in cultural heritage conservation, and programmes for raising  awareness on cultural heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Helvetica,Arial;\">Europa Nostra Awards: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.europanostra.org\/apply-for-an-award-2011\/\" target=\"_blank\">LINK<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Europa Nostra has announced the opening of its 2011 awards, with a deadline of 1 October 2010.
