\"\"<\/a>Practitioners from the widest construction and development sectors will access a key IHBC resource more readily as our new joint \u2018Conservation Professional Practice Principles<\/em>\u2019 \u2013 co-authored with HTVF and the Civic Voice – has been posted on the IHBC\u2019s Conservation Wiki, offering direct access to Designing Buildings Wiki\u2019s 3 million users a year!<\/h3>\n

At the launch of the \u2018Practice Principles<\/em>\u2019 at the institute\u2019s 2017 Annual School IHBC Chair James Caird said: \u2018I\u2019m delighted that we have produced this new joint statement on conservation practice, as it marks a whole new level of support for conservation by the IHBC.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Prepared collectively by the IHBC, the Historic Towns and Villages Forum and Civic Voice \u2013 the membership of which includes built environment professionals, developers, local civic and community organisations, local authorities, professional firms, and other heritage interests \u2013 it can serve as the critical cross-sector statement on the interdisciplinary practice of built and historic environment conservation today.\u2019<\/p>\n

IHBC Director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly said: \u2018Publication of our joint \u2018Practice Principles<\/em>\u2019 on the IHBC\u2019s Conservation Wiki means that the Designing Buildings Wiki\u2019s 3 million or so users a year can have much easier access to this key document in conservation practice, and even discover its value when using the simplest of online searches.\u2019<\/p>\n
