By improving our knowledge of these buildings constructed with solid masonry walls, before 1919, we will be able to properly and safely improve them. Ensuring that architects, surveyors, contractors and small builders understand that the traditional housing stock cannot\u00a0be\u00a0treated the same way as their modern counterparts as this can often have severe unintended consequences, affecting both the occupiers and reputation.<\/p>\n<p>Colin King of\u00a0BRE, John Edwards of Edwards Hart and Constructing Excellence in Wales are on the road to show the country and industry what is needed and how to take a holistic approach.
