\u2018How exciting that the Civic Voice Design Awards are back again this year\u2019, said, Max Farrell, Partner at Farrells.\u00a0 Here at Civic Voice, we are as excited as Max Farrell\u00a0who today told a packed audience in Parliament that he is pleased to see that the\u00a0Civic Voice Design Awards\u00a0are back again for another year.\u00a0 Speaking at the debate on neighbourhood planning, Max Farrell said: \u2018<\/em>What I really like about the\u00a0Civic Voice Design Awards\u00a0is that they are the people\u2019s choice for architecture and the built environment. They are\u00a0national awards which have been nominated by local community organisation like civic societies, resident’s group, town and parish councils and other community groups, rather than the industry. They recognise those buildings, places and spaces that are loved by local people. They show that communities will accept new development.\u2019<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Civic Voice Design Awards\u00a0show that people are willing to welcome the new developments we need when they have been properly consulted and involved and where the quality of design has been of the highest standard.\u00a0\u00a0Deadline for nominations is\u00a014th February 2017.<\/p>\n

The application round for entries is currently open and we are asking if you and are proud of developments in your area? If you are, nominate them for a Civic Voice Design Award. Whether it is a restoration of a local church through to a million pound development, we want to hear from you. What makes these awards special is that it is you and your community who apply!<\/p>\n
