{"id":14600,"date":"2017-01-06T16:38:38","date_gmt":"2017-01-06T16:38:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=14600"},"modified":"2017-01-06T16:38:38","modified_gmt":"2017-01-06T16:38:38","slug":"entry-deadline-for-planning-awards-2017-approaches-includes-heritage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=14600","title":{"rendered":"Entry deadline for Planning Awards 2017 approaches: Includes heritage"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>The Planning Awards, run by <em>Planning <\/em>magazine in conjunction with <em>PlanningResource <\/em>and <em>PlacemakingResource<\/em>, are closing soon (deadline 19 January 2017).<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Planning Awards there are also Placemaking Awards to reward excellence in planning-related activities such as placemaking, urban design, economic development, housing, regeneration, legal advice and environmental consulting.<\/p>\n<p>The heritage-specific awards are:<\/p>\n<p><u>Award for best use of arts, culture or sport in placemaking<\/u> \u2013 this award will go to the entry that best demonstrates how a project, plan or organisation has used arts, culture or sport in a way that has improved, or is likely to improve, the physical or environmental quality of a place or the economic or social well-being of a community.<\/p>\n<p><u>Award for best use of heritage in placemaking<\/u> \u2013 this award will go to the entry that best demonstrates how a project, plan or organisation has used a place or community\u2019s heritage in a way that has improved, or is likely to improve, the physical or environmental quality of the place or the economic or social well-being of the community.
