I would like to draw your attention to a new publication from Historic England\u00a0that\u00a0I hope will be of interest to all those developing and funding research in the heritage sector.<\/p>\n
The Historic England Research Strategy\u2026 gives an overview of our approach to the heritage research that we carry out, support or encourage others to undertake. It sets out the context and objectives for our work, and provides information for those looking to\u00a0work\u00a0with us to carry out research. It includes nine broad research themes that we see as key to the sector and which we have identified to help\u00a0stimulate action.<\/p>\n
The publication of our Research Strategy is the first step in providing updated information about our research effort. The next step, our Research Agenda, will comprise\u00a0a broad set of\u00a0topics\u00a0that we believe will have a beneficial impact for the heritage sector. These will include a narrower and sharper set of research priorities\u00a0that we\u00a0will\u00a0resource with staff or funding\u00a0to support delivery of the current Historic England\u00a0Corporate\u00a0Plan.<\/p>\n
