{"id":1365,"date":"2010-06-03T11:41:29","date_gmt":"2010-06-03T11:41:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=1365"},"modified":"2010-06-03T11:41:29","modified_gmt":"2010-06-03T11:41:29","slug":"eh-online-survey-for-forward-planning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=1365","title":{"rendered":"EH online survey for forward planning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>English Heritage is running a web based survey  as part    of consultation on the National Heritage Protection Plan (NHPP), which  will    govern a substantial part of the work that English Heritage undertakes  to    protect the nation&#8217;s heritage, with the survey running until 30 June.<\/p>\n<p>The NHPP is also intended as a basis for developing a more  co-ordinated and    collaborative approach to protection on the part of the whole heritage  sector.    \u00a0This will not be the only opportunity for the sector to comment, as  English    Heritage hopes that the published Plan will itself elicit comments and  advice,    and shall ensure that each annual revision of the Plan is influenced  by    further consultation.<\/p>\n<p>In summary:<br \/>\nEH\u2019s Strategy for 2010 \u2013 2015 is to be published in autumn 2010 and  includes    the following draft high-level aims:<\/p>\n<p>* AIM 1:Identify and protect nationally important heritage<br \/>\n* AIM 2:Champion England\u2019s heritage<br \/>\n* AIM 3:Support owners, local authorities and voluntary  organisations to    look after England\u2019s heritage<br \/>\n* AIM 4:Help people appreciate and enjoy England\u2019s heritage<br \/>\n* AIM 5:Achieve excellence, openness and efficiency in all we do<\/p>\n<p>The Heritage Protection Reform Programme, while continuing to  implement the    White Paper proposals and work towards reformed Heritage Protection    legislation, also continues, through training and pioneering new ways  of    working, to foster the cultural, intellectual and procedural changes  that will    enable the Plan to operate effectively; they are complementary  activities.<\/p>\n<p>Identification and articulation of significance under the NHPP will be     increasingly supported by EH\u2019s research capacity.
