{"id":12882,"date":"2016-06-01T14:10:45","date_gmt":"2016-06-01T13:10:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=12882"},"modified":"2016-05-30T17:19:07","modified_gmt":"2016-05-30T16:19:07","slug":"ihbc-welcomes-derbyshire-hb-trust-school-on-buildings-at-risk-21-6-august","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=12882","title":{"rendered":"IHBC welcomes Derbyshire HB Trust School on Buildings at Risk: 21-6 August"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The IHBC is helping support The Derbyshire Historic Buildings (HB) Trust initiative to <a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/DHBT_Event-e1464625043127.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-12883\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/DHBT_Event-300x218.jpg\" alt=\"DHBT_Event\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" \/><\/a>provide a residential course for heritage students and early career professionals and offer an opportunity to learn directly from professionals working in the heritage sector, so much so that as well offering CPD recognition, the IHBC is also helping our new Support Officer Carla Pianese attend.<\/p>\n<p>IHBC Director Sean O\u2019Reilly said: \u2018We\u2019re delighted to be formally supporting this important initiative, which offers a compact and bite-sized introduction to a wide spectrum of student and early-career interests in built and historic environment conservation practice in the wonderful setting of the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018As a charity, we\u2019re no less happy to be able to take advantage of the opportunity, and promote attendance there by our new Branch and Events Support Officer, and part-time student, Carla Pianese.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Heritage Skills Centre Manager at Lincoln Castle, lead School organiser and IHBC Council+ member, Kathryn Banfield said: \u2018This is a great opportunity for students undertaking mainstream courses in planning and the built environment or archaeology, as well as professionals who might be new to the conservation sector to get to grips with heritage at risk projects.
