{"id":12263,"date":"2016-03-11T18:47:07","date_gmt":"2016-03-11T18:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=12263"},"modified":"2016-03-11T18:47:07","modified_gmt":"2016-03-11T18:47:07","slug":"ihbcs-new-support-officer-welcome-to-carla-pianese-supportihbc-org-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=12263","title":{"rendered":"IHBC\u2019s new Support Officer: Welcome to Carla Pianese -support@ihbc.org.uk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-12264\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/CARLA_LinkedIN-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"CARLA_LinkedIN\" width=\"156\" height=\"195\" \/>The IHBC welcomes its newest staff member, Carla Pianese, recently appointed to help our volunteers, Branches, trustees and staff respond more effectively to current sector challenges, who can be reached through her new IHBC office email: <a href=\"mailto:support@ihbc.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\">support@ihbc.org.uk<\/a>.<\/u><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mike Brown, IHBC Chair, said: &#8216;The Trustees and I are very pleased to welcome Carla into the National Office to assist with supporting our Branches and our busy events and related outreach programmes.\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure her many talents will be a major asset in taking these forward and that she will have a big impact.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Welcome Carla to the IHBC, I hope you will really enjoy working here on the many challenges ahead!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>IHBC Director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly said: \u2018Carla, in her new role of Branch and Event\u2019 Support Officer, offers critical new capacity and skills to help all your national office staff \u2013 and our consultants &#8211; carry out their jobs more effectively and efficiently, from web support and event management to Branch support, training and advocacy.\u00a0 We\u2019re all looking forward to having Carla on the team, but it will of course take a little time for her to familiarise herself with our processes as we get to know better what she has to offer.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018So for now please start by welcoming her as suits you best, including by joining her on her <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/carlapianese\" target=\"_blank\">twitter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/carlapianese?authType=NAME_SEARCH&amp;authToken=NcqP&amp;locale=en_US&amp;trk=tyah&amp;trkInfo=clickedVertical%3Amynetwork%2CclickedEntityId%3A232930855%2CauthType%3ANAME_SEARCH%2Cidx%3A1-1-1%2CtarId%3A1457721661855%2Ctas%3Acarla%20p\" target=\"_blank\">Linkedin<\/a> accounts and inviting her to your Branch meetings and events too.\u00a0 Though do remember that she has a busy diary of meetings already set up, as Kate Kendall introduces her to Branches through the training events currently under way.\u00a0 Clearly the sooner you get your Branch on Carla\u2019s list the better, and the quicker you\u2019ll be able to get her help &#8211; and that of the national office &#8211; in any new event ideas that you are planning!\u2019<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IHBC\u2019s new Branch and Event Support Officer Carla Pianese said: \u2018Following my early background in object and preventive conservation in Italy \u2013 including at Urbino and Ravenna &#8211;
