Since 2006 the Cultural Leadership Programme (CLP) has supported over 30 leadership networks offering tailor-made, work based support to leaders across the cultural and creative industries, with a new funding programme in place now with the deadline for proposals 12 Noon on Friday 29th April 2010.<\/p>\n
The networks offered structured programmes of individual leadership development and involved a variety of learning approaches including coaching, mentoring, shadowing, placements, exchange, action learning sets and events as well as a range of peer-to-peer support. Networks connected within and across sectors and, in many cases, created new channels for effective and personalised leadership support and development.<\/p>\n
CLP Networks 2010 builds on the evidence and outcomes from the earlier networks to create a focused offer for senior and established leaders. \u00a0Participants can include leaders or chairs of businesses\/organisations or individuals leading through professional or artistic practice. Networks will be supported for up to 9 months (June 2010 to March 2011) and should demonstrate how they will be made sustainable beyond that period. \u00a0Up to 10 Networks will be supported, with a maximum of \u00a350,000 to establish or consolidate each network.<\/p>\n
The CLP targets emerging, mid-careers, senior and established leaders, governing bodies of cultural organisations and cultural entrepreneurs. Opportunities are open to those working in the core cultural sector of crafts; libraries and archives; museums and galleries; music; and the performing, literary and visual arts \u2013 as well as those working in the wider creative and cultural industries.<\/p>\n
