{"id":11609,"date":"2015-12-02T15:06:49","date_gmt":"2015-12-02T15:06:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=11609"},"modified":"2015-11-30T17:44:22","modified_gmt":"2015-11-30T17:44:22","slug":"600k-new-challenge-fund-for-neighbourhood-and-local-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=11609","title":{"rendered":"\u00a3600k \u2018New challenge\u2019 fund for neighbourhood and local plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u>A new fund of <\/u><u>\u00a3600,000 has been announced to help local government deliver planning projects for England\u2019s neighbourhood planning.<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>DCLG writes:<br \/>\n<\/u>A challenge fund to enable local authorities to make changes to their planning service to help them deliver neighbourhood and local plans.<\/p>\n<p>A pot of \u00a3600,000 resource grant funding is being made available in the 2015 to 2016 financial year to be awarded to a series of pilot authorities to help them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>better support neighbourhood planning by piloting ways of making neighbourhood planning an integral part of their planning service, for example in relation to Local Plan-making, or<\/li>\n<li>to identify ways of involving or delegating planning decisions to neighbourhood planning groups, or<\/li>\n<li>to make changes to their service to ensure that they have an up-to-date Local Plan in place by 2017<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The deadline for applications is 18 December 2015.<\/p>\n<p>View the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/neighbourhood-planning-and-local-planning-service-redesign-and-capacity-building\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new fund of \u00a3600,000 has been announced to help local government deliver planning projects for England\u2019s neighbourhood planning.
