{"id":11411,"date":"2015-11-04T16:35:28","date_gmt":"2015-11-04T16:35:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=11411"},"modified":"2015-11-04T16:35:28","modified_gmt":"2015-11-04T16:35:28","slug":"wg-on-section-106-agreement-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=11411","title":{"rendered":"WG on section 106 agreement research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u>The Welsh Government (WG) has released a report that examines the situation of stalled sites and section 106 agreements.<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>The Welsh Government writes:<br \/>\n<\/u>This report identifies and quantifies all sites that are stalled as a result of issues relating to a Section 106 agreement. It also examines the reasons why these sites are stalled.<\/p>\n<p>The report makes recommendations to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>improve the transparency of the Section 106 agreement system<\/li>\n<li>encourage greater awareness and knowledge of processes within it<\/li>\n<li>reduce some of the delays currently experienced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Research commissioned by the Welsh Government in 2014 identified delays in completing Section 106 agreements as a barrier to the delivery of housing.
