{"id":10963,"date":"2015-08-28T16:07:50","date_gmt":"2015-08-28T15:07:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=10963"},"modified":"2015-08-28T16:07:50","modified_gmt":"2015-08-28T15:07:50","slug":"apprenticeship-levy-consultation-floats-impacts-on-citb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=10963","title":{"rendered":"Apprenticeship levy consultation floats impacts on CITB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u>The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills <\/u><u>(DBIS) is consulting on changes to the apprenticeship system tied to the construction levy, proposing funding <\/u><u>to be paid for by \u2018every big company\u2019 in England, which may have may have substantial implications for the current industry training body, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), and with a closing date for the consultation of 2 October.<\/u><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>DBIS writes:<br \/>\n<\/u>We\u2019re inviting comments on our proposal to introduce an apprenticeship levy. The levy will enable employers to choose and pay for apprenticeship training.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re seeking your views on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>how to pay the levy<\/li>\n<li>how the levy should work for employers who operate across the whole of the UK<\/li>\n<li>how to make sure that employers paying the levy have the opportunity to get more out than they put in<\/li>\n<li>how best to give employers control of apprenticeships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This consultation covers the implementation of the levy.
