{"id":10919,"date":"2015-08-21T17:50:11","date_gmt":"2015-08-21T16:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=10919"},"modified":"2015-08-21T17:50:11","modified_gmt":"2015-08-21T16:50:11","slug":"developer-ordered-to-rebuild-steading","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=10919","title":{"rendered":"Developer ordered to rebuild steading"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u>The owner of a historic farm steading in Perth and Kinross has been ordered to rebuild it on a like for like basis following its demolition.<\/u><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Courier writes<\/span>:<br \/>\nCocklaw Developments\u2019 Ken Thomson was refused permission to tear down an old outbuilding at Boreland Farm, near Cleish, in Kinross-shire.<\/p>\n<p>The Fife-based firm\u2019s bid was rejected by councillors in 2007 and then again following an appeal to the Scottish Government.<\/p>\n<p>But a meeting of Perth and Kinross Council\u2019s development management committee heard that Mr Thomson reduced the building to rubble without authorisation, amid health and safety fears.<\/p>\n<p>The developer was accused of \u2018driving a coach and horses\u2019 through planning regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Cocklaw Developments must now rebuild the steading exactly as it was, using the original stone.
