The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) has criticised the master plan for the redevelopment of the former Terry\u2019s Chocolate Works in York to provide more than 300 homes, office and leisure activities use.<\/p>\n
CABE\u2019s design panel said the site demanded \u2018a more connected hierarchy of streets, spaces and urban blocks to tie the development\u2019s constituent parts more closely together\u2019.<\/p>\n
It also notes that \u2018At the appropriate time, the local authority will need to satisfy itself that all aspects relating to materials and detailing of the listed buildings are acceptable.\u2019<\/p>\n
