The Architecture Club is calling for entries to the exhibition \u201c50 Years of London Architecture \u2014 1960-2010\u201d, which will be held in the Mall Galleries June 19 \u2013 26 as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2010.<\/p>\n
More than 150 buildings will be exhibited and buildings will be included if they are: significant in the development of architecture in London\/Britain; they represent a particular strand of architectural thinking or they are excellent examples of their kind \u2014 small as well as large. Entries are invited from architects, owners, consultants, contractors and enthusiasts.<\/p>\n
The Architecture Club was founded in 1922 by Spectator editor JC Squire \u201cto enlarge the public appreciation of good architecture\u201d. Its first president was the writer Thomas Hardy, who trained as an architect. Membership is limited to 200 architects and 200 non-architects. The current chairman is John Tusa and its secretary is Peter Murray.<\/p>\n
Practices who would like to submit projects for consideration should send a 100- word description, credits and low res images<\/p>\n
