If so, why not nominate them for the Youthbuild young builder of the year (closing date 31 July)<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>Youthbuild writes:<br \/>\n<\/u>Applications for the 2015 Young Builder of the Year Awards are now open. Could you be the winner and collect\u00a0\u00a31,500 worth of prizes?<\/p>\n<p>The 16th Young Builder of the Year Awards celebrate the achievements of young people, who despite having to overcome a range of barriers have succeeded in training for and or gaining employment in the construction industry<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking applications from two categories: \u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>14 to 16 year olds still in education<\/li>\n<li>16 to 24 year olds in employment or training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications opened on Tuesday 5 May 2015.The closing date for applications is Friday 31 July 2015.\u00a0 Judging will take place in August and 20 finalists will be chosen.<\/p>\n<p>The finalists will be invited to the Awards Ceremony at the House of Commons on Thursday 15 October 2015, when the winners will be announced.<\/p>\n<p>For 2015 there is a prize fund of \u00a37,500 and all shortlisted finalists will receive an award.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The overall winner will receive up to \u00a31,500 (including tools)<\/li>\n<li>The runner up will receive up to \u00a3750 (including tools)<\/li>\n<li>The winner of the 14 to 16 year old category will receive up to \u00a3750 (including tools) and their educational establishment will receive tools worth up to \u00a3500.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All finalists end the day with a trip on the London Eye.<\/p>\n<p>We wish you all the very best with your application.<\/p>\n<p>To find out how to apply, please download the document \u2018About the 2015 Young Builder of the Year Awards\u2019 and complete the appropriate application form.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ybuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/About-the-2015-Young-Builder-of-the-Year-Awards.doc\" target=\"_blank\">Find out more about the awards<\/a><\/li>\n<li>14 to 16 2015 Young Builder of the Year <a href=\"http:\/\/ybuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/14-to-16-2015-Young-Builder-of-the-Year-Application-Form.doc\" target=\"_blank\">Application Form<\/a><\/li>\n<li>16 to 24 2015 Young Builder of the Year <a href=\"http:\/\/ybuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/16-to-24-2015-Young-Builder-of-the-Year-Application-Form.doc\" target=\"_blank\">Application Form\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you employ or know of a young person in the building trade who has outstanding skills?
