Members who attended the IHBC 2014 Annual School in Edinburgh will recall that one of the tours offered was the Forth Bridge and this week UNESCO progressed its potential inscription, describing it as a \u2018m<\/u>asterpiece of creative genius\u2019 and recommending inscription in committee papers relating to its 39th meeting to be held in Bonn on 28 June.<\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n
Page 37 of the committee report recommends inscription and notes further action to be required by UNESCO should the committee be minded to accept the recommendation: \u2018(UNESCO) Requests the State Party to submit to the World Heritage Centre, by 1 December 2016 a report on the selection of key viewsheds and views of the bridge for inclusion in the appropriate planning instruments and management plan, along with an analysis of their effectiveness in ensuring the protection of these key viewsheds and views, for examination by the World Heritage Committee at its 41st session in 2017\u2019<\/p>\n
