{"id":1033,"date":"2010-02-05T13:32:30","date_gmt":"2010-02-05T13:32:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=1033"},"modified":"2010-03-24T13:32:51","modified_gmt":"2010-03-24T13:32:51","slug":"heritage-asset-transfers-case-studies-sought-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=1033","title":{"rendered":"Heritage asset transfers: case studies sought"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>English Heritage in partnership with the  Communities and Local Government\u2018s Asset Transfer Unit \u00a0is preparing  guidance in response to the Quirke Review which encouraged local  authorities to transfer surplus or underused property to community  groups.<\/p>\n<p>It is supported \u00a0by the Architectural Heritage Fund, the  Prince\u2019s Regeneration Trust and National Trust and the Heritage Lottery  Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The new guidance, Our common heritage: transforming  liabilities into assets, is aimed at anyone disposing of or taking on  heritage assets. It will help promote successful and sustainable  outcomes by signposting existing advice and illustrating examples of  good practice \u2013 for all types of heritage assets, including historic  buildings and public open spaces.
