{"id":10266,"date":"2015-05-17T17:51:22","date_gmt":"2015-05-17T16:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=10266"},"modified":"2015-05-17T17:51:22","modified_gmt":"2015-05-17T16:51:22","slug":"ihbc-yearbook-2015-issued-norwich-school-themed-diversity-and-conservation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=10266","title":{"rendered":"IHBC Yearbook 2015 issued: Norwich School themed \u2013 \u2018Diversity and Conservation\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><u><a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Yearbook-Cover.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-10267\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Yearbook-Cover-213x300.jpg\" alt=\"Yearbook Cover\" width=\"213\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>The new IHBC <em>Yearbook<\/em> has been issued this week and if not already there, it should be with you very shortly, <\/u><u>containing the essential IHBC updates and directories as well as a splendid array of articles to frame this year\u2019s Annual School theme: \u2018Cultural connections &#8211; conserving the diversity of place\u2019.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>IHBC Director Sean O\u2019Reilly said: \u2018Our Yearbook extends our reach far beyond our own membership, of course, with a circulation of some 5500 to industry and sector leaders, regulators, specialist and non-specialist bodies, and individuals.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018That\u2019s why it\u2019s so valuable for our many users that it also contains our other directory features \u2013 in particular the listing of conservation businesses that work to the IHBC\u2019s standards, our HESPR scheme, and those conservation courses from across the UK that have achieved full and select recognition by the institute.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Articles for 2015 include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chair\u2019s review from Mike Brown<\/li>\n<li>\u2018Experimental evolution\u2019, on new governance explorations in the IHBC, by Sean O Reilly<\/li>\n<li>Conserving diversity, a review of the <em>Yearbook<\/em>\u2019s articles and issues, by IHBC\u2019s Membership Secretary Paul Butler, including\n<ul>\n<li>Preserving historic residential character in Salt Lake City, by Carl Leith<\/li>\n<li>Understanding Place \u2013 Sustaining Saltaire for the future, by Jo Lintonbon<\/li>\n<li>Skills Diversity in Snowdonia- Jonathan Taylor<\/li>\n<li>Accessing our heritage- Heather Jermy<\/li>\n<li>Characterising and capturing the diversity of place- James Webb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>And \u2018Cultural connections\u2019, an IHBC-member specific introduction to social media for those new to the came, or wanting to dip their toes in it, by the IHBCs consultant social media adviser, Alison McCandlish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>David McDonald, IHBC Education Secretary says, \u2018I always look forward to receiving my copy of the <em>Yearbook<\/em>, not only for the useful list of members, but also for the interesting and informative articles. Their quality makes reading them an essential part of my CPD.
